How do I apply for a B&E VISA Credit Card?


You can simply download and fill out the application form, and either mail it back or drop it in to any B&E branch. (Please include both the front page of the application form and the declaration on the second page). Click here to check out our branch locations.


When will I receive my card?


If approved, you should receive your card within 10 working days from the date we receive your application. To assist us in avoiding delays, it is helpful if you enclose proof of your income with your application. (If you're unsure on what we will need, call us on 1300 306 716).


Do I need to be a current client of B&E to apply?


No, but you do need to be a Tasmanian resident. If you don't bank with us, and your application is approved, we will need to identify you (by obtaining 100 points ID) before we can formally approve your application. We'll contact you after we've received your application to let you know if we need identification details. Can I make a balance transfer from existing card(s)?


Yes, however please carefully read the declaration and complete the Balance Transfer section on the application form.


Where can I use a B&E VISA Credit Card?


You can use a B&E VISA Credit Card anywhere worldwide that accepts VISA (subject to merchant acceptance and to the Conditions of Use). Simply look for the VISA logo.


What are the minimum and maximum available credit limits?


Subject to B&E's credit criteria, the minimum available limit is $500, and the maximum is $30,000.


Is the B&E VISA Credit Card available to students?


Yes, eligible tertiary students may apply. In addition to B&E's lending criteria, you must provide evidence of having satisfactorily completed the first semester of the first year of your studies. Credit limits of $500 - $2,000 are available to successful applicants.


Can I take out insurance protection to cover my payments?


Yes, B&E offers a repayment protection option through Swann Insurance (Aust) Ltd. You should read the applicable Swann Insurance (Aust) Ltd Product Disclosure Statement and B&E's Financial Services Guide before applying for the repayment protection option. It covers a range of unforeseen events and gives you important peace of mind.


Does the B&E VISA Credit Card have a rewards program or frequent flyer points?


No, that's why we're able to offer very competitive interest rates and low annual fee.


Who Qualifies for a B&E VISA Credit Card?


To successfully apply for a B&E VISA Credit Card, you must be of the age of 18 years and meet B&E’s credit criteria. This includes having a good credit rating & meeting B&E’s servicing criteria. (Its important you don’t undertake a commitment that you would have difficulty meeting!)
