What do I need to use B&E Internet Banking?

To be able to use B&E Internet Banking make sure you have completed the following checklist:

  • I have registered for B&E Internet Banking and have my access name and initial password.

  • I have access to a Personal computer, which meets the B&E Internet Banking Hardware & Software Requirements, and has access to the internet.

How secure is B&E Internet Banking?

B&E internet banking has been designed with the highest security measures in mind for our clients. The site itself utilises SSL 128 bit encryption for all data communications between your home computer and our servers (including transaction downloading), and all server-side hardware is protected via hardware firewall solutions. Restricted user access and physical security measures protect all hardware at our server sites also to ensure client security and confidentiality is fully maintained.

The site itself also has added security measures built in such as an inactive timeout in case your B&E internet banking session is left unattended for an extended time period, and password validation whenever a transaction is processed.

As a user of B&E internet banking you must also ensure your access name and password are fully secured to complete the security picture and ensure unauthorised transactions cannot occur. Please ensure you are familiar with your obligations and the suggested security measures within the B&E internet banking Terms & Conditions document at all times.

Using all these measures we have strived to ensure B&E internet banking is every bit as secure as using one of our branches.

What Can I do on B&E Internet Banking?

B&E Internet Banking offers many of our in-branch services, with the convenience of anywhere, anytime access. You can transfer funds (internally, externally), pay bills (via BPAY or cheque) setup future and/or Periodic payments, or simply access your account balances. For more detail on the functionality of B&E Internet Banking, go to the detailed instructions section of this site.

What does it cost me to use B&E Internet Banking?

With the exception of cheques which incur a $5 Periodical Payment Cheque fee, access to and transactions performed via B&E Internet Banking are free from bank charges. Whilst B&E reserves the right to review and change this policy at any time, we will endeavour to maintain our fee free status for the foreseeable future.

Why can’t I access B&E Internet Banking from my work PC?

B&E Internet banking is fully supported for direct internet connections (via modem or router) only. Whilst in some cases business (and other) proxy server and firewall connections will support access to B&E Internet Banking, this is not a supported access method and problems may be experienced connecting to the site via these means. If you are unsure about what type of access you have please contact your Network Administrator.

Why do my print-outs not fit on the page correctly?

The screens in B&E Internet Banking have been optimised for a viewing resolution of 800 x 600 pixels or higher, a side effect of this is that some screens will not print correctly on an A4 page in Portrait format. We recommend printing transaction detail and interest summary screens in Landscape format to ensure no data is missed from the page. Transaction receipts when printed will generally fit in Portrait format without any adjustments.

Why is B&E Internet Banking slower than the rest of the B&E website?

B&E Internet Banking utilises many security features including SSL 128bit encryption for on all pages (and transaction downloads). The overhead required in encrypting these pages makes the site slower than viewing pages from a non-encrypted site. If however you are experiencing large loading times or page time-outs, please report the fault with us including as much detail as possible.

Why does my Internet Banking session time out as soon as I log on?
