Telephone Banking Instructions

How it Works...


Step 1 Dial 1300 651 444 to gain access to B&E Telephone Banking.

Step 2

Using your telephone keypad enter your user number and press the hash# button.


*Please note that any information provided will relate to the user number entered!

Step 3

You will then be asked to enter your telephone access code followed by the hash# button.


First time users of B&E Telephone Banking have been allocated a temporary access code. After entering your temporary telephone access code, you will then be asked to load a new telephone access code to a number of your choice for future enquiries and/or transactions.


The main menu of this service will be read to you, giving you the opportunity to select which service you would like to use by using the keypad on your touch tone telephone.

Press 1

Savings Account balances will be read.

Press 2

Loan Account balances will be read.

Press 3

Investment Account balances will be read.

Press 4

Last 5-10 transactions on a Savings or Loan account (you will be asked to indicate which account you wish to access).

Press 5

Transfer funds between B&E accounts.

Option 1 -

Transfer funds between your accounts (This function will allow you to transfer funds from one account to another within the same user number. You will be asked to indicate which savings account you wish to take funds from and which savings or loan account funds are to be transferred to).
Option 2 - Transfer funds between your account and another nominated account (This option will only be available if you have previously established an authority at your local branch. If this authority has been established, Telephone Banking will provide the option to transfer from your account to any of the nominated accounts you have specified when establishing the authority).

Press 6

Transfer funds between your B&E account and an account with another institution. (This option will only be available if you have established an authority at your local branch).

Press 7

Pay a bill using BPAY. You will be asked which account you wish to debit. This option is not available on all accounts. Please contact your local branch if you are unsure. You will also need to have details of the Biller Code and Biller Customer Reference Number.

Press 8

Draw a cheque to a pre-nominated payee. This option will only be available if you have previously established an authority at your local branch.
Press 9 Other Telephone Banking Services.

Option 1 -

Order a statement of your account. (You will be provided with a statement of all accounts with transactions relating to the previous calendar month).
Option 2 - Total interest earned on all accounts during the previous financial year.
Option 3 - Change your telephone access code.
Option 4 - Website details.
